Founder and CEO
With over 10 years experience in teaching/coaching gymnastics in schools and clubs. Qualified as General Gymnastics/Trampoline/FreeG coach/ Judge floor and vault, UEFA B Football and higher education (UK QTS and master degree in Education and Sport Management)
“I have always worked hard and performed on my best as a sport person. I was lucky enough to start with gymnastics ( foundation for all the other sports) at young age – becoming romanian champion in gymnastics as a young boy, then everything else was easy; good athlete (sprint, endurance, long jump, javelin throwing), then I became a professional footballer – playing for over 10 years in top leagues in Romania and Hungary.
It seems that I could embrace a career in any other sport as gymnastics has helped me achieve so many different skills: coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, agility, confidence, body awareness, discipline, work ethics, etc. Gymnastics has made a huge difference in my life and I’m happy to share my experience as it could help anyone else no matter of age or ability….”

Perform Better Gymnastics Academy (PBGA) -” Terms and Conditions”
PBGA is a ‘private club established in North London, with a community interest status. The terms and conditions apply to all parents/guardians and members of the Academy.
Enrolment
- Parents/Guardians/Adult Members must set up a ‘membership account’ by completing the registration form, via the Perform Better website, ensuring that it is accurate and kept up-to-date. We use Club Manager as our online booking provider which includes Centre data management software and ClubLink (the name of the app).
- It is the parent/guardian/adult member’s responsibility to ensure that the Club has the gymnast’s current contact details and emergency contact details.
- It is the parent/guardian/adult member’s responsibility to ensure that medical records are kept up-to-date.
- We kindly ask parents, guardians, or adult members to share any medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities so we can best support your child. If your child has mild special needs, please let us know the level of assistance they may require. For children who need more significant or one-to-one support (as they might at school), we recommend booking a private session to ensure they receive the attention they deserve, or if you can email us so we can understand your child’s condition and discuss different alternatives.
Fees
- Starting with April 2021, Direct Debit will be our preferred payment method. Our basic monthly membership fee of £49, will be collected by Direct Debit on the day set-up by our members. We will only take payments for 11 months ( no sessions in August). We will freeze the Direct Debit from 1st August to 31st August. Also, in case of another lockdown, we will be able to freeze straight away making it easier to work out the correct payments/sessions left. If for any reason you are not able to set up a direct debit, please notify us by email and we will try to find a solution.
- All fees are non-refundable.
- All new registrations will be offered a £12 one-off trial session on the selected class. Once the trial has been completed, an automatic email will prompt you to sign-up for the monthly direct debit payment in order to become an active member.
- PBGA offers a 10% multiple class discounts only to Intermediate and Advance Class.
- PBGA does not offer make-up classes.
- Our programs are set up to 5 terms of 8 weeks (except the Nov/Dec term which is 7 weeks and in return children will receive the Christmas goodie bag worth a session’s price). The preferred payment method direct debit will be £49/month
Direct Debit Payments
- Please remember the payment is protected under the Direct Debit Guarantee, which is covered by all banks and building societies. This protects you against any incorrect payment amounts with an immediate refund from your bank.
- All your personal information is fully encrypted and stored securely by us and Go Cardless who process the payment each month.
- Cancellation: We hope you never want to leave us, and that all our members enjoy their sessions with us. However, if you decide to cancel your classes, please notify us in writing at info@performbettersc.co.uk. Our notice period is one month, so we could also plan the groups/waiting lists accordingly. As always we will use our best judgment on individual cases around long-term illness and injury.
- Class cancellations/postponing: Our club never cancels a session, but if the Centres /venues we work with must close (due to refurbishment, exams, council meetings, polling stations, special events, etc.), we will endeavour to find an alternative solution, such as moving the session to a different day or a nearby venue, to ensure children have continuity. If none of the above work, the last resort would be refunding the missed sessions or adjusting the following Direct Debit payments.
- We will collect the direct debit over 11 months/year, which means there will be no collection in August (as there are no regular classes in August). Recurring payments can start on the same date you made the payment. Collection days will be on each month on the same date you set up the direct debit.
We hope it makes the sessions easier to budget for and allows greater transparency into canceled sessions caused by future lockdowns.

Changes to the privacy notice
We keep our privacy notices under regular review. This privacy notice was published on 24 May 2018.
We may change this privacy notice from time to time. When we do, we will inform you via email and our website.
Our club never cancels a session, but if the Centres /venues we work with must close (due to refurbishment, exams, council meetings, polling stations, special events, etc.), we will endeavour to find an alternative solution, such as moving the session to a different day or a nearby venue, to ensure children have continuity. If none of the above work, the last resort would be refunding the missed sessions or adjusting the following Direct Debit payments.
